"Each night before the boy went to to bed, he would light the fire. He would squeeze beside Grandma on her favourite chair. The house would be quiet, except for the turning of a page and the ticking of a clock."
'The Building Boy' by Ross Montgomery is a truly heartwarming story about a young boy and his grandma who had been a famous architect. The boy and his grandma spend each night looking at photographs of her achievements and together they plan to build a marvellous house on a hill where they can live together.
The stunning illustrations by David Litchfield compliment the story beautifully.

A beautiful story. Nothing less, but one hell of a lot more. As a year 3 teacher, communicating the injustice that each individual might feel in this modern world is only just short of impossible. This story does many things for the sole, but it does remind me of my own grandma, an evacuee, subject to the Liverpool Blitz. This story inspires me, as a teacher of young, already damaged minds (I teach 7 years olds that already play grand theft auto, not a new concept I know) and aspiring children's author to look for that 'meaty' and less ventured (whilst the genre of WW2 may not) genre to delve into. How I might communicate her life story to, I am yet to discover.

I have known so much for building articles for the boy. That's why? it has listed in the book of the week monthly resources. Then you will know the importance of online essay editors.
