Alan Walker - Faded

Teaching Ideas

    • Watch the video and predict: What do you think has happened and where is the character going?
    • Look for clues: Use the photograph, mask, buildings and objects to work out what has happened.
    • Describe the setting: Write about the abandoned buildings using adjectives, senses and figurative language.
    • Write the story behind the photograph: Who is in it, where was it taken and why is it important?
    • Hot seating: Pretend to be the main character and answer questions about their journey and feelings.
    • Music and mood: Discuss how the music makes you feel and how it changes the atmosphere of the video.
    • Create the character's journey: Draw a map showing where the character travels and the obstacles they face.
    • Write your own story: Use the video as inspiration to write a story about someone searching for their lost home.
