In this step away from their usual festive offerings, we see a young boy buy a seed from his local market. He nurtures the seed and watches it grow, but the result is more Little Shop of Horrors than festive fir. Although the little boy is proud of the plant he has grown, his family are less than enamoured and they remove the tree by putting it in the garden. By the film's end, their minds are changed and a new tradition begins.
