5 Metres 80 (High Diving giraffes)

Back legs apart and front legs slightly arched, a group of giraffes take turns diving into an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Cube Creative celebrates it’s 10th anniversary with ‘5m80′, a short by Nicolas Deveaux featuring high diving giraffes. The animated short was inspired by ‘7 Tonnes 3′, an earlier project by Devaux which featured an elephant jumping on a trampoline.

This film is fun but could still provide some great writing responses.
Writing ideas (not an exhaustive list)

• Write a news report of the event.
  
• Describe the giraffe in detail.
  
• Use show not tell throughout describing all that happens as if it is a human and then reveal at the end that it is in fact a giraffe. 
• Write through the eyes of the giraffe.
